Powel "Pat" Buck Cappel

Powel “Pat” Buck Cappel, Sr., 81 of Twin Acres Drive passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 17th at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. M. Alton Plummer (Rector) officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the undercroft of the church. Mr. Cappel was born on April 25, 1935 in Rapides Parish, LA to Leslie K. Cappel and Clara Armstrong Cappel. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and served in the National Guard Reserves. He was an industrial engineer, and the owner of Powel Cappel Associates. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Leslie K. Cappel, Jr. and sister Sadie Cappel Lewis. Surviving are his wife, Stella Meeker Cappel of the home; son Powel Cappel, Jr. and wife Sung Hae of Oakland, CA; daughters Tracy Cappel-Rice and husband David of Clovis, CA, Alex Cappel Livingston and husband David of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Wil and Charlie Cappel of Oakland, CA, Ian and Zoe Rice of Wellington, New Zealand, Hanna and Abbie Livingston of Atlanta, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Episcopal Church, 419 South Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292 or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
