Priscilla Beck

September 2, 1941 — August 25, 2012

Priscilla Lynette Hunt Beck, 70, of Burkhart Road, died Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Grace Missionary Alliance Church with the Rev. Richard Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home. Mrs. Beck was born September 2, 1941, in Pittsylvania County, Va., to David Ciscero Hunt and Loraine Robertson Hunt. She was a retired teacher assistant from The Children’s Center. She was a member of Grace Missionary Alliance Church, where she enjoyed playing the organ during church services. She was also a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir, and part of numerous other committees at the church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Dwayne Beck; and brother, James Robert Hunt. Surviving are her loving husband, James Robert Beck, Sr. of the home; sons, James Robert “Bobby” Beck Jr. and wife Diane and Jeremy Beck, all of Lexington; daughters, Tanja Beck Feezor and husband Roger of Lexington and Wendy Beck Butler and husband Paul of Jamestown; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Sam, Jennifer, Daniel, Will, Coral, Archer and Tanner; three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ciara and Taylor; brothers, David Carlton Hunt and wife Debbie of Chattsworth, Ca., and Alvis Paul Hunt and wife Cyndy of Stephenson Ranch, Ca.; sisters, Renea Hunt of Los Angeles, Ca., Connie Faye Watts of Georgia, and Sandra Scully and husband Vin of California; sisters-in-law, Cindy Hunt, Patty Beck, Wanda Beck, all of Lexington; and brother-in-law, Buddy Beck of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Grace Missionary Alliance Church, 457 Burkhart Road, Lexington, NC 27292. Special thanks to special friend and caregiver Mary Fisher for the loving care shared with Priscilla.
