Pullaiah "Albert" Subaniken

Pullaiah “Albert” Subaniken, 86, of Lexington passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

In order to comply with directives from Governor Cooper’s office, a private funeral service will be held in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel and will be streamed live on the Funeral Home’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome . There will be a public memorial service held at a later date.

Mr. Subaniken was born in Guyana on July 7, 1933 to Tomby Subaniken and Sukhri Subaniken. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Leonard Bindnarine and Desmond Subaniken; three brothers; and four sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Chanderdai “Doris” Guyah Subaniken of the home; two sons, Kennard Bindnarine (Rovena) of NY and Hemchand Subaniken (Bibi) of NY; five daughters, Prabha Subaniken of Canada, Tara Subaniken of NJ, Romela Sankar (Karan) of Lexington, Juanita Darnley (Nelroy) of NY, and Sarujnie Basdeo (Maxwell) of Lexington; twenty three grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
