Queen Rebecca Doulin Jordan, 77, of Walltown Street, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at her home.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at New Life SDA Church, where she was a member, by Pastor Marsena Davis and Elder Donald Belton.
Mrs. Jordan was born May 6, 1929, in Davie County to John Thomas Doulin and Ester Chaplain Doulin. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Jordan.
Surviving are three sons, Frank Edward Ross of Riverdale, Ga., John Nathaniel Jordan and his wife, Hyon Cha, of Greensboro and Earl Lewis Jordan of Lexington; five daughters, Rebecca Brooks, Cynthia J. Mobley and her husband, Michael, Mary Louise Jordan, Shelia J. Miller and her husband, George, and Anita Jackson, all of Lexington; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Garfield Doulin and his wife, Frankie, of Winston-Salem, John Doulin Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Cathell Doulin and Edward Adam Doulin, both of Lexington; one sister, Marion D. Doulin of Lexington; one uncle, Samuel Chaplain of Britthaven of Davidson County, Thomasville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the home of a daughter, Rebecca Brooks, 704 Moore Drive.
