Rachel Beck Dixon

Rachel Dixon, 83, of Robert Floyd Drive died Friday March 6, 2015, at The Brookstone Retirement Center where she was a resident. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Lexington Church of God where she was a member, with Rev's Alan Greene, Todd Kiger and Rodney Merrill officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, and other times at the daughter's home on Abbid Street, Lexington. Mrs. Dixon was born February 27, 1932 in Davidson County to Walter Clay Beck and Mittie Wood Beck. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Debbie Trent and Lavonne Segers. Surviving is her Husband, Odell James Dixon of the home; two sons, Jimmy Johnson and Mark Johnson and wife Joy,both of Lexington; two daughters, Linda Freedle and husband Rick, and Cathy Leonard and husband Neal, both of Lexington; one brother, Clay Beck and wife Doris of Lexington; two son-in-laws, Jerry Trent and David Segers; and 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
