Rachel Marlene Coppley Hamm, 76, of Old Linwood Road, died Wednesday, January 25, at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 28 at Jersey Baptist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Greene. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Hamm was born October 1, 1940 in Davidson County to Chelsie Lee Coppley and Bertha Beatrice Cody Coppley. She retired from Trimfit, Inc. and was a member of Jersey Baptist Church. Her brothers, Lewis Coppley and Austin Coppley, her sisters, Elsie Starr and Carol Kirkus, and her grandsons , Chase Troublefield and Tyler Troublefield, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, James Donald Hamm of the home; her daughters, Tammy Troublefield and husband, Randy, and Penny Lovelace, both of Lexington; her sisters, Louise Lookabill, Betty Jean Surratt, Jonie Myers and husband, Roger, and Evelyne Swing and husband, Bobby, all of Lexington; and her grandchildren, Taryn Justice and husband, Corey, and Easton Lovelace.
