Raeford Wagner

William Raeford Wagner, 85, of Spring Arbor of Thomasville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday August 17, 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at First Baptist of Welcome with Rev. Jonathan Goodman and Rev. Mark Blair officiating services.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

There will be no formal visitation, and for those that are planning on attending the funeral service, social distancing and wearing a face mask is suggested.

Mr. Wagner was born May 7, 1935 in Davidson County to William Monroe Wagner and Ruth Whitlow Wagner. He loved playing the organ at his church, for weddings, and also played for a local quartet. William  enjoyed traveling and was a very loving and caring person who loved the Lord and Southern Gospel music. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife Bobbie Jane Perryman Wagner, of the home; one step daughter, Amanda Wyse (Chris) of Winston Salem; two sisters, Libby Wagner of Lexington and  Jane Baity (Raymond) of Lexington; two brothers, Dale Wagner (Janice) of Morganton and Keith Wagner (Shelley) of Lexington.
