Ralph E. Campbell

Ralph E. Campbell age 80 of Old Hwy 29 died Friday Evening in Lexington Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. A graveside service will be held 11am Wednesday (5-6-2009)at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Lisa Wishon. Ralph was born May 28, 1928 in Davidson County to Ralph E. Campbell Sr. and Virginia Kersey Campbell. He was a retired dispatcher for Pilot Freight Lines and attended Fairview Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Randall E. Campbell and Gary Campbell. Surviving are his wife of 60 years Hazel Everhart Campbell of the home; one son Alan Dale Campbell of Granada Hills California and one granddaughter Kara Campbell of High Point. After retirement, Ralph’s main hobby was spending time in his woodworking shop, creating many beautiful crafts. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to The Gary B.
