Ralph Johnney Campfield

Ralph Johnney Campfield, age 82, of Mooresville, formerly of Coble Circle, Lexington passed away Monday morning (June 13, 2011) at Lake Norman Medical Center. A private graveside will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Rev. Leon Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Ralph was born in Haywood County, NC, February 26, 1929, to Harter Monroe Campfield and Myrtle Fowler Campfield. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker with Mid State Tile Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nora Sue Campfield on September 9, 2008; and his son, Ralph Campfield, Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Ann Griffin of Kernersville and Brendel Pruitte of Mooresville; six grandchildren, Gerald McDaniel, Ronald McDaniel, Pam Hill, Lynn Prytle, Brian Griffin and Karyn Griffin; ten great-grandchildren.
