Ralph Edward Everhart, age 84 of Garland Dr., Lexington died Sunday, October 17, 2010 in Hinkle Hospice House after an extended illness. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Everhart was born February 4, 1926 in Davidson County to Robert Everhart and Martha Bates Everhart. He was a retired from PPG and was a member of the American Legion Post 8. Ralph was a US Navy veteran having served in WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his wife, Fannie Jean Thompson Everhart of the home; sons, Joel Everhart, Robert Everhart and wife, Edna, both of Lexington; daughters, Sherry Garwood and husband, Benny, Debbie Lansdell, all of Lexington, Belinda Kesler of WV, Tonya Walker and husband, Steve, of Winston Salem; nine grandchildren, Shawna Hedrick and husband, Sam, April Baker and husband, Jonathan, Scott Lansdell and wife Stephanie, Christy Sherman and husband, Marty, all of Lexington, Tera Pack and husband, Jason, Carla Lilly and husband, Junior, all of WV, Dustin Snyder and wife, Shannon, Michael Lansdell and wife, Ruby, all of Thomasville, and Johnna Green of Charlotte, ten great grandchildren, Nicholas Hedrick, Daisy Hedrick, Nathan Baker, Katelyn Lansdell, Kara Lansdell, Samuel Trent Sherman, all of Lexington, MaKayla Snyder of Thomasville, Allison Pack, Tyler Pack, both of West Virginia, and Ashley Coppley of Wilmington. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
