Ralph Douglas Everhart, age 72 of Welcome Bethesda Road, Lexington died Monday morning at his home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday (5-2-2007) in the
Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, and burial will follow in Lexington City
Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
Mr. Everhart was born in Davidson county August 14, 1934 to Clyde Franklin Everhart
and Marjorie Poston Everhart. He Retired from United States Air Force having served
in the Korean War in 1954 and Vietnam 1965 and 1971. He also retired from Fletcher Machine after 18 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife
Peggy Sue Hamilton Everhart who died September 27, 2003, a son Roger David Everhart
and a sister Patricia Hunt. Surviving are: his wife Dawnie Carter Everhart of the home;
sons; Ralph “Doug” Everhart and wife Donna, Ronald Del Everhart wife Gail and Ricky Dean Everhart and wife Rita all of Lexington; Daughters; Suzanne Cooper and husband Kenneth and Laura Shell and husband Michael both of Lexington, 22 Grandchildren
and 14 Great-Grandchildren; Step-Sons; David Carter and wife Cheryl of Lexington and Danny Carter and wife Susan of Walkertown; Sister Melanie Walser of Lexington and
half-brother James Everhart of Bessemer, Alabama. The family will receive friends Tuesday night at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm and at others times at the home.
