Clarence Randall Parks, 71, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A funeral service will be held 3pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating.  Burial will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with military honors.

Visitation with family and friends will be held 1:30 to 2:30pm on Sunday prior to the service.

Mr. Parks was born on August 4, 1947 in Davidson County to Clarence Albert ‘Bud’ Parks and Dora Cook Parks.  Clarence was part of the first graduating class at Davidson County Community College and retired from Piedmont Communications.  He proudly served in the United States Army and attended Sheets Memorial Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sybil Barnhardt.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Bernadine Lanier Parks, of the home; son, Kevin Parks (Deanna) of Denton; daughter,

Jill Parks Zueger of Columbia, SC; brother, Jerry Parks (Judith) of Lexington; sister, Winnie Clemmer of Lexington; and three grandchildren, William Randall Zueger, Caraline Susanne Zueger and Ashley Nicole Zueger.
