Randolph Clayton Hodnett 86 of Helmstetler Rd. Lexington passed away July 22nd at Kate B. Reynolds in Winston Salem after an extended illness.
A funeral service will be Friday July 24th at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Rummage officiating. Burial at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodnett was born in Henry County VA on March 1, 1929 to Babe Clayton Hodnett and Lucy Weaver Hodnett. He was retired from Taylor’s Super Market and a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle. He proudly severed in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife Ivey Jewell Young Hodnett on 12-30-2011 and brother Jack Hodnett; sister Virginia Shoemaker and son-in-law Rev. Roger Lackey.
Surviving are his son Bobby Hodges (Betsy) of Nebo; daughters Bonnie Hodges Lackey of Lexington and Jennifer Hodnett Hollandsworth (Phillip) of Rural Hall; grandchildren Sarah Hollandsworth; Ashley Smith (Jon); Rusty Lackey (Robin); Susan Ward (Jerry); Joy Huffman (Damon); Cheryl Hewitt; Ronnie Hodges (Laura) and Leigh Warren (Todd); 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers Ben Hodnett; Philip Hodnett (Barbara); Gerald Hodnett (Carolyn) and Curtis Hodnett all of Martinsville, VA; sisters Ann Culler; Dorothy Perdue and Barbara Nelson all of Martinsville, VA.
