Ray Von Freedle

Ray Von Freedle, a beloved resident of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on Tuesday, March 12th, 1957, in Lexington, Ray remained a cherished member of the community throughout his life. He was the loving son of the late Raymond Elwood Freedle and Gurla Mae Freedle. Ray graduated from North Davidson High School in 1975, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with hard work and dedication. As a self-employed repairman, Ray was known for his craftsmanship, reliability, and the genuine care he showed towards his clients and their needs. An avid sports enthusiast, Ray had a passion for both football and basketball, pastimes that brought him joy and connected him to others who shared his interests. His love for sports was a testament to his spirited nature and his appreciation for teamwork and camaraderie. Ray is survived by his beloved sisters, Linda Clodfelter "Terry," and Donna Castro who was one of his closest companions throughout his life. Together, they shared many cherished memories and a bond that remained unbreakable. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Ray are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate his life. The service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at the Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Misty Polston York officiating. Burial will follow to Beulah UCC cemetery. Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Ray Von Freedle will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
