Ray Patton Grant, 79, of Davidson County, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Forest Hill Mausoleum.

Ray was born on December 18, 1944, in Randolph County, to the late Walter William Grant and Bertha Ammons Grant. He worked for many years as the owner and operator of B.J. Enterprise, which was located on Webb Road Flea Market for 38 years. Ray loved working with his hands and staying busy and active. One of his favorite ways to spend time was outside in the sun, whether it was at home or at the beach. He and his wife loved traveling to many places but their favorite spot to be together was Florida.

Ray’s most favorite part of life was spending time with his family, friends, and The Village.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death and now reunited with his wife of 56 years, Joyce Brackett Grant; son, Philip Grant; brothers, Paul Grant, Royal Grant, Frank Grant, Mack Grant, and Howard Grant; and sisters, Flo Hamm and Ruth Hamm.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Debora Snider (Kevin) of Lexington; grandchildren, Amanda Lilly (Chandis), Erik Jackson (Emily), Zoie Grant, Philip Grant II; great-grandchildren, Berklee Lilly, Everett Lilly, Willa Jackson, Karma Grant, Randy Grant, and Eva Grant

Family and Friends are welcomed to pay a visit to the daughter's home.
