Ray Green

William “Ray” Green, age 87, of Lexington  passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Thomasville Medical Center.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at CrossPoint Church of Lexington with Pastor Michael Greer officiating. Burial will follow at the Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.   Mr. Green was born in Sevierville, TN on July 27, 1930 to William West Green and Lillie England Green . Ray was a self employed general contractor, a member of CrossPoint Church of Lexington and a Veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eula Mae Green; and fourteen brothers and sisters.   Survivng are his wife, Martha Hoffman Green of the home; his son, Roger Green (Kathryn) of Lexington; a brother, Raymond England of Maryville, TN; three grandchildren, Kayli Grijalva (Naza), Jennifer Green (Lindsey) and Stacie Green (Tom Cook); and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Grijalva and Luna Green-Cook.   Memorials may be directed to CrossPoint Church at 310 Bieseker Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or to the Gideons International at PO Box 97251 Washington, DC 20090.
