Ray Von Hedrick

Ray Von Hedrick, 89, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Alston Brook.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Hedrick was born July 18, 1932, in Davidson County to David Lee Hedrick and Frances Hunt Hedrick. He retired from A & P Grocery as a meat cutter for 36 years and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church and CrossPoint Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Trudy Juanita Shelton Hedrick; and one brother, Robert Hedrick.

Surviving is David Melton who is like the son he never had; two brothers, Roy Hedrick (Alma) of Lexington and Richard Hedrick of Advance; and one sister, Mary Scarlett of Lexington.
