Ray Plummer

Albert Ray Plummer, age 83 of Colonial Drive, formerly of Hannersville Road passed away, Tuesday morning April 13, in Lexington Health Care after declining health. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member conducted by Rev. Karen Smith, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, and other times the family will be at the home on Colonial Drive. Ray was born in Davidson County August 19, 1926 to Kearney Philmois and Leona Parrish Plummer. He was a retired truck driver with J.P. Steven’s trucking company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Beck Plummer in January 1990. Ray is survived by his wife Jean Swing Plummer of the home; two sons Mike Plummer and wife Diane and Phil Plummer and wife Cheryl both of Lexington; one daughter Mary Nell Loflin and husband Dale of Lexington; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
