Ray Clifford Turbyfill

Ray Clifford Turbyfill, age 79 of Clemmons passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Rev. Gary Elrod. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Ray was born May 5, 1935 in Greene County TN to Julius Edward Turbyfill and Ada Ward Turbyfill. Ray served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and retired with Southern Rail Road. He was a member of Enterprise Masonic Lodge 752. He was Preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Helen Johnson, Audrey Hamilton, Hilma Tappan, Wanda Phillips and Geraldine Ward. Surviving are his wife of 57 yrs Linda Isaacs Turbyfill of the home, son, Steve Turbyfill ( Tina) of Arcadia, daughter, Brenda Russell ( Mike ) of Clemmons, brothers; Johnny Turbyfill ( Gloria ) of Charlotte, Rhonda Turbyfill ( Bonnie ) of Elk Park, NC, sister, Wilma Ellis ( Charles ) of Elk Park, NC, grandchildren, Brandon Russell ( Lauren ), Garrett Russell ( Melissa ), Krislyn Turbyfill, Owen Turbyfill, great grandchildren, Levi Russell, Addison Russell, Audrey Russell and Wyatt Russell.
