Ray Von Everhart

Ray Von Everhart 78 of Easter Circle passed from this life into his new life with his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Mark Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church of Welcome cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree and other times at the home. Ray Von was born July 16, 1935 in Davidson County to Fate Everhart and Mary Fritts Everhart. He was a retired machine operator for RJR and was a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ruby Foltz Everhart who died November 22, 1999; sisters, Jo Ann Everhart and Betty Fowler. Surviving are a daughter, Kim Phillips (Ricky) of Lexington; sons, Von Everhart of Lexington and Ken Everhart (Angela) of Durham; sisters, Sylvia Baugus (Pete) of Lexington, Linda Mecimore (Garland) of Lexington, and Jean Meredith of High Point; a brother, Jerry Everhart of South Carolina; grandchildren, Christopher Phillips, Tanner Everhart, Savana, Kinsey and Sierra Everhart and other caring nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
