Raymond Heitman, Jr., 73 of Alston Brook Nursing Home formerly of Heitman Road, Lexington died Thursday in Alston Brook after several years of declining health. Mr. Heitman was born on May 4, 1933 to Raymond Heitman Sr. and Bertha Shaw Heitman. A retired truck driver, he was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2007 in DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. His parents and his wife, Eva Dean Heitman, preceded him in death in 2003. Surviving are 2 sons, Charles Heitman and fiancée, Jennifer Adractas of New Jersey, Scott Heitman of W. Palm Beach, Florida; daughters, Bobbi Perry and Fiance, Lynn Rice, Patti Phillips and husband, Joe, all of Lexington; one grandson, Charles Montana Heitman; brothers, Rodney Heitman, Vernon Heitman, Dick Heitman all of Lexington; sisters, Shirley Rhodes, Vernell Sutherland and Myrtle Everhart all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.
