Raymond Jerry Hoyle, age 68 of Scenic Way, Thomasville passed away Wednesday (8/10/2011) at his residence after a two- month illness.
A graveside service with military graveside rites will be 1 p.m. Monday, August 15, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, with his niece, Kimberly Vega officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mr. Hoyle was born October 2, 1942 in Sylva , N.C. to Delos Raymond Hoyle and Lillian Louise Farmer Hoyle. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a machinist for an Aerospace aircraft manufacturer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Hoyle.
Surviving are sons, Michael Hoyle of Thomasville, David Hoyle and fiancé, Mary Qualls, of Lancaster, Ca., and Jimmy Hoyle; daughters, Jessica McCloud and husband, Brian, of Winston-Salem, Kathryn Hankinson and husband, Robert, of Sparta, Mi., and Michelle Hoyle of Lancaster, Ca.; 11 grandchildren; expecting two great-grandchildren; step-son, Eddie Smith and wife, Tonya, of Monument, Co.; brother, Jay Hoyle of Kernersville; and sister, Harriet Brooks of Welcome.
