Raymond Edward Jordan, 74, of Hege Drive, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after being in declining health for several months.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Richard Martin and Claude Garrett. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with military rites by Randolph Memorial Honor Guard.
Mr. Jordan was born February 2, 1933 in Jackson, TN to Warren Jordan and Mary
Gladys Dennie Jordan. He was a retired truck driver for Old Dominion Trucking and was of
the Baptist faith. Mr. Jordan was a veteran with the U.S. Army having served in Korean
Conflict, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kenneth Jordan and a sister Frances
James. Surviving are his two sisters; Shirley Martin and husband Richard of Thomasville
and Betty J. Jordan of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, and other times at the home on Hege Dr.
