Raymond Ross Yokley

Raymond Ross Yokley 76 passed away early Thursday morning, November 21, 2013 at his home. A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. James Allred, Jr. officiating. Ross was born in Beaufort County, NC on November 9, 1937 to Raymond Bruce Yokley and Magdalene Priscilla Stokes Yokley. He was a real estate appraiser with the NC Division of Highways, a member of West Market Street Methodist Church and served in the US Army post Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Martha Allred Yokley who died September 12, 2012. Mr. Yokley was a graduate of Denton High School and the University of NC Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Relations. Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth Brent Yokley Tuck (Jon) of Clarksville, GA and Jennifer Yokley Hartman (Brian) of Welcome; granddaughters, Ellen Kathleen Hartman, Ashton Woodring Tuck and Peyton Ansley Tuck; a brother, Charles Bruce Yokley (Kathryn) of Arcadia and a sister Barbara Ann Rogers ( J.W.) of Albemarle. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
