Rebecca Lynn Anderson

Rebecca Lynn Sechrest Anderson, 84, of S. Payne Street, died Monday, August 14, 2017, at her home.   A funeral mass will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 19, 2017  at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Father John Paul officiating.  The family will receive friends and family for a celebration her life from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home.   Mrs. Anderson was born February 9, 1933, in Guilford County to Henry Delton Sechrest and Cora Lee Fee Sechrest. Becky had a passion for Art and Music including involvement in the Lexington Choral Society; Our Friends of the Theatre, the Senior Chorus; Our Lady of the Rosary Ladies Guild; Lexington Appearance Commisson.  She was a Senior member of the choir at Our Lady of the Rosary; Friends of the Lexington Library and Red Hat Society. She won First Place in NC Senior Games Art Division.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Ray Anderson Sr. who died on January 11, 2017 and a sister, Barbara Sechrest McDaniel.   Surviving are sons, Grady Ray Anderson Jr. and his betrothed, Shirley Ann Robinson and Donald Anderson and wife, Windy, all of Lexington; daughters, Teresa Anderson Leonard and husband, Benjamin of Apex, Anna Marie Anderson Day and husband, Robert of Snodland, Kent, England, and Sharon Elizabeth Anderson Myers and husband, Dylan of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Michael Leonard and wife Rachel, Christopher Leonard, Eric Leonard, Celeste Anderson, Sarah Anderson Edwards and husband, Andrew, Noah Myers, and Natalie Myers; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Joseph Sechrest and wife, Phyllis of Whitsett, NC, two sisters, Linda Sechrest Dutton and Maria Sechrest Shoaf both of High Point, sister in-law Daphine Anderson of High Point; and family in love, Ginger, Clayton and Trevor Leonard and Sarah Hanley.   In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of  Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way,  Lexington, NC 27295   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
