Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Anne Leatherman Fritts, 95, of Arnold Road, died Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.
She was born on January 31, 1931, in Davidson County, to the late William Ray and Jessie Mae Hedrick Leatherman.
Mrs. Fritts was a graduate of Welcome School, Class of 1949, and Cabarrus School of Nursing. She served as a lifelong nurse in Lexington. Becky enjoyed cooking, traveling, and took many trips abroad with her husband and friends. She also loved playing piano and she and her husband, Glenn, loved Southern Gospel music.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Conrad Fritts, Sr.; and her siblings, Bill Leatherman, Doris Biesecker (Robert).
Survivors include her children, Glenn Conrad Fritts, Jr. (Rhonda), Allen Fritts (Lynn), and Suzanne Fritts Stevens; grandchildren, Paul Stevens (Heather), Sara Nussman (Samuel), Lara Cecil (Thomas), Hannah Hooker (David), Rachael Kelley (Chris) Maggie Fritts, and Emma Fritts; 15 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Lisa Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for Ebenezer United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 410, Lexington, NC 27295 or Alderwood Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
