Rebecca Bj Hughes

    Rebecca “BJ” Nelson Hughes, 55 of Deer Crossing Lane, Lexington passed away, Monday January 23, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.   A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.   Mrs. Hughes was born July 25, 1961, in Davidson County, to Bobby Gray Nelson and Rebecca Strange Nelson. She was self-employed and a graduate of Central Davidson High School. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Nelson.   Surviving are her husband, Donald “Bo” Hughes of the home; children, Donald Hughes and fiancé, Stacey Snider, Jason Hughes and wife Amanda, Meagan Hughes and Melissa Hughes and fiancé Chris Burns; 14 grandchildren; her mother, Becky Nelson; brothers, Tom Nelson and wife Dawn, Bill Nelson and wife Ann, Blaine Nelson and fiancé Ashlee Frank; and sister, Eve King and husband Jim.In lieu of flowers memorials to be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
