Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Berrier Lewis age 80 went home to be with her Lord and Savior early in the morning Wednesday May 8, 2024. An outdoor service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday May 10. 2024 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Columbarium conducted by Pastor Beverly Gaska. The family will then go to the church sanctuary for a visitation with family and friends.
Becky was born March 27, 1944 in Forsyth County to Ernest and Anne Berrier. She was a retired school teacher for more than 30 years having taught with many different school systems, most recently Forsyth County. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church where she served as a former Sunday school teacher and chaired the Paul Evans Scholarship Fund.
Surviving are her husband, Mike Lewis of the home; son, Myke L. Lewis (Sherrie) of Alabama; Two daughters, Lori Roberts (Brooks) of Lexington and Christina Thomas (Mario) of Mexico; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, David Berrier of Lexington, Phil Berrier of California, a sister, Barbara Teal (Wilson) of Lexington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Becky cherished her church, loved her family, and thoroughly enjoyed and was proud of her flowers and garden.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Paul Evans Scholarship Fund 1082 Community Road, Lexington NC 27295.
