Reid Craver 78, of Craver Road, passed away Friday morning March 4, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after a period of declining health.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 7th, at Mt Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery where he was a lifelong member, conducted by Rev. Ray Surratt. The family will see friends 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday March 6th at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home.
Reid was born July 21, 1932 in Davidson County to Grady Eli Craver and Erma Mae Garrison Craver. He retired after 31 years from R. J. Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Lunette Hege.
Surviving Reid, are his wife of 59 years Anne Long Craver of the home, 2 sons Michael Craver (Charlene) and Perry (Dooley) Craver both of Lexington; 2 daughters Lynn Lemly (Robert) and Emily Hedrick (Ricky) both of Lexington; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Tony Craver (Hope) and Bobby Craver (Connie) and a sister Nancy Oakley ( George) all of Lexington.
