Reinaldo Jesus Saladrigas, 56, of Mountain View Court, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, at his home following a two year illness.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member, by the Rev. Ed Armfield.
Mr. Saladrigas was born April 8, 1951, in Hillborough, Fl., to Reynardo Saladrigas and Nadine Castells Saladrigas. He was a Staff Seargent in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was also a former employee at Marconi Telecommuications, a volunteer at Linwood Fire Department, coach for Southwood baseball and soccer teams, a boosters club member. At his church he was a middle school youth teacher.
Surviving are his wife, Marianne Helwig Salagrigas of the home; sons, Reinaldo Fields and wife, Larue, of Arizona, Eric Adam Saladrigas and wife, Toni, of Ohio, and Anthony Michael Saladrigas of South Carolina; daughters, Christine Young and husband, Cue, of Colorado, Nadine Fields, Tina Hedge and husband, Mike, all of Arizona, Melissa Saladrigas, Kasondra Saladrigos and Sara Saladrigas, all of Lexington; 20 grandchildren; his parents of Florida; and brothers, William Saladrigas and husband, Rose, and Micheal Saladrigas and his wife, Karen, all of Florida.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the church fellowship hall.
