Renate "Rene" Motz Hicks

Renate “Rene” Motz Hicks, 61, of Riverview Lane, Lexington died October 1, 2012 at her home after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the home. Mrs. Hicks was born September 23, 1951 to John Motz and Maria Motz. She was a homemaker and attended North Lexington Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Ray Clarence Hicks of the home; two sons, Johnny Hicks and wife Cherubina of Lexington, Kenny Hicks and wife, Cindy of Arizona; a daughter, Tammy Hicks of Lexington; 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brothers, John Motz and wife Caria, Walter Motz both of Lexington and a sister, Hilda Olsen and husband, Jan of Arkansas.
