Rene’ Leslie Sicard, 68, of Essick Road, passed away Friday Evening (12-19-2014) in the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center’s hospice home in Salisbury, NC.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday December 27, 2014 at Oak Forest United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Darren Alexander officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
Rene’ was born in Baton Rouge LA on August 7, 1946 to Joseph Marcie Sicard and Mildred McLaughlin Sicard. He was a retired Sales Manager with Grainger Inc. and was a US Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Irvin Sicard and a sister Verna Sicard Landry.
He is survived by his wife Gale Sicard of the home; sons, Andy Sicard of Blowing Rock, and Jody Carroll (Allison) of Charlotte; daughters, Amy Swafford (James) and Melanie Webb (Rob) both of Farmville NC and Christy Joyce (Jeff) of High Point; grandchildren, Madison, Lindsay and Emma Joyce, Kayla Webb, Jamie and Ailsa Swafford and Aidan Carroll; brothers, Leonard Sicard (Lerlene), Donald Sicard (Loretta), Adrien Sicard (Linda) Daryl Sicard (Minta), Dennis Sicard (Sue) and Roland Sicard (Anita); sisters, Earline Starnes, Judy Maggiore (Gus), Beverly Schatzle (Kenneth); sister-in-law Sena Sicard and many nieces and nephews.
