Rev. Alvin Everhart

Rev. Alvin Everhart, 93, of Lexington died Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 15 at Welcome Church of God with Rev. Bobby Gilley and Rev. Michael Kearns officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 14.

Mr. Everhart was born June 20,1931 in Davidson County to Thomas Garrett Everhart and Emma Hinkle Everhart.  He served as minister at Welcome Church of God. His first wife Dorothy Lucille Everhart preceded him in death in 2005.

He is survived by his wife Blanche Berrier Everhart of the home, children Steve Everhart, Kathy Norman, Tim Everhart, Sr. (Donna) Teresa Younts (Johnny) all of Lexington and Deana Dunn of Mt Pleasant, SC. Grandchildren, Tim Everhart, Jr., Stacey Yarbrough (Mike), Lori Trivette (Kenneth), Eric Shipton (Hannah), Karen Essick (Shane), Shea Ivey (Summer), Phil Hartley (Sherri) all of Lexington and Steven Hartley of N. Myrtle Beach, SC. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren,1 great-great-grandchild and sister, Norine Everhart.
