The Lord called Rev. Robert Lewis Beasley, age 75 of East Ninth St. Lexington, NC home to reunite with his wife on Tuesday, January 28 at his residence, after a period of declining health.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 30 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. James Messer. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his daughter Cynthia Beasley on East Center Street in Lexington.
Rev. Beasley was born December 02, 1938 in Guilford County to Oliver Herman Beasley and Pearl Lorraine Kearns Beasley. He had worked as a manager in the restaurant business and was of Baptist faith and was an ordained minister. He was married to Polly Phillips Beasley who died April 12, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by sons, Jeff Beasley (Vickie), Robbie Beasley and Dwayne Beasley (Julie) all of Davidson County; daughters Dianne Sowers (Danny), Cynthia Beasley (Michael), Susan Walker (Terry) and Teresa Lambeth (SerGeo) all of Davidson County; brother Jerry Beasley (Linda) of Lexington; grandchildren, Jeremy Owens, Jimmy Owens, Brandon Thurston, Dustin Thurston, Ricky Lambeth, Jamie Lambeth, Kristin Bobo, Jessica Lambeth, Jonathan Beasley, Hillary Beasley, Joshua Beasley, Holly Beasley, Austin Beasley, Caroline Beasley, Tabetha DeLapp, and Carrie Lanier.
