Rhoda Ellen Hampton

Mrs. Rhoda Ellen Wyatt Hampton, 62, a resident of Lexington, passed away Saturday, April 03, 2021 at her residence. Rhoda was born in Danville, VA on September 2, 1958 to the late Jacob Lonzo and Pearl Gilley Wyatt. Rhoda was a prayer warrior and was known to offer encouragement to others with her online ministry. She was a carefree person who loved everyone, especially her grandbabies. Rhoda was a sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a member of Rowan Christian Assembly in Salisbury. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Danny and Lonnie Wyatt; a sister, Martha Wyatt; and a granddaughter, Jasmine.

Rhoda is survived by her loving husband, Larry Hampton, of the home; daughters, Bonnie Vanderelst (Jeremy) of Lexington, Crystal Hurst (Jim) of Clemmons, Trina Carpenter (Randy) of Kernersville, and Suzy Wright of Salisbury; a son, Ray Nathan Wright, II; a sister, Jeannie Adams of Salisbury; grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Gabriel, Brittney, Nycole, Abby, Wyatt, Faith, Kristie, Leighetta, Keagen, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Christian, and Lucas; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
