Rhonda Hilliard Gabard

Rhonda Hilliard Gabard, 71, of Lexington, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center.

Rhonda was born on August 20, 1955, to the late Elizabeth Hilliard Hatley and Ethan Hilliard. She lived an exciting and full life, spending 32 proud years on the road as a truck driver. Outside of her career, Rhonda had a deep passion for cooking, tending to her flowers, and creating beautiful crafts. Above all, Rhonda loved people and deeply cherished her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Cunningham, and her beloved furbaby, YoYo.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband of 46 years, Clayton Gabard; her son, Steven Berrier, and his wife, Amanda; her two adored grandchildren, Kira and Hunter Berrier; her brother, Dean Hatley, and his wife, Frankie; and her brother-in-law, Tom Cunningham.

A funeral service honoring Rhonda's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel (301 N. Main Street, Lexington, North Carolina), with Pastor Josh Kepley officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
