Rhonda Brinkle Haywood

Rhonda Brinkle Haywood, 64, passed away peacefully at her home on September 20, 2018 following a brief illness.

Ms. Haywood was born on August 24, 1954 to Mr. Fred Wayne Brinkle and Mrs. Nancy Beck Brinkle.  She dedicated her life to providing for her two children.  Ms. Haywood worked for Burlington Industries, Warvel Products and most recently, Lolly Wolly Doodle. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Ms. Haywood is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Nancy Brinkle.  She is survived by her father, Mr. Fred Wayne Brinkle, her daughter, Mrs. Jennifer Haywood Osborne (Chris), her daughter, Ms. Erica Haywood, her brother, Mr. Mike Brinkle, sister-in-law, Mrs. Pattie Brinkle, grandson, Matthew Upchurch, her pride and joy.  Ms. Haywood is also survived by her “boys”, nephews, Shaun Brinkle, Chad Brinkle and her niece, Leighanne Everhart Brinkle, and longtime friend, Mr. Richie Ogburn.

Ms. Haywood also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  She is also survived by her step grandchildren, Tatum, Evan and Fallon Osborne.

A celebration of life will be held on September 24, 2018 at 4:00 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington and at other times at the residence of Ms. Haywood.

The family would like to express their appreciation for all the calls, visits and prayers.  We would like to say thank you to the staff at Trellis Supportive Care of Rowan.  My mom was a strong fighter and she fought hard until the end.
