Richard "Dickie" Blair Pickett

Richard “Dickie” Blair Pickett, 76, of Wilson Road, died Wednesday January 28, 2015 at The Brian Center Nursing Home. A graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday January 30 2015 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Chaplain David Knok officiating services. There will be no formal visiation. Mr. Pickett was born October 14, 1938, in Davidson County, to Ervin Allen Pickett Jr. and Mary Jo Perryman Pickett. He was a member of Churchland Baptist Church and retired from PPG. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Blenda Weaver. Surviving is his wife, Mary Sadler Pickett of the home; one son Rickie Pickett Jr. of Asheville; one daughter Sherri Harris and husband Clayton of Clemmons; one step daughter, Debbie Jordon Henderson of Lexington; one step son, Robert Jordon Jr. and wife Sue Beth of Alabama; one brother, Jerry Pickett and wife Shane of Lexington; one sister Adell Barber and husband Jimmy of Lexington; five grandchildren, Ashley Thomas and husband Lewis, Kelly Owen and husband Richie, Beth Smith and husband Joseph, Cory Weaver and wife Jessica and Jason Weaver; four great-grandchildren, Madelyne Thomas, Lucas Thomas, Cristian Weaver and Cortland Weaver; one son in law Jerry Weaver; one step grandson, Wesley Henderson and wife Brandy; one special step great-granddaughter, Baily Henderson and his special Beagle, Tinker Bell.
