Richard Lewis Kinney

Richard Lewis Kinney, age 88 of West 5th Avenue Lexington passed away Friday morning April 3, 2015 at Winston Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation. There will not be a public funeral service, however the family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday night, April 6, 2015. Richard was born in Davidson County January 22,1927 to Nunmer Roby and Lillian Senter Kinney. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and retired employee of the United States Postal Service. He served his country in the US Army during World War II and was a life member of VFW Post 3074, American Legion Post 8, and Amvets Post 13. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Myers Kinney of the home; daughter, Linda Perry (Johnny) of Winston Salem; son, Rick Kinney (Linda) of Burlington; Pop Pops loving grandchildren, Josh and Anna Kinney of Burlington; a sister, Ruth Mashburn of Lexington.
