Richard Alan Matthews

Richard “Alan “ Matthews age 50 of Thomasville passed away Thursday night December 15, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Sunday December 18, 2011 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Oak Forest United Methodist Church. Alan was born August 7,1961 in Forsyth County to Carl E. Matthews Jr. and Carol Walser Matthews. He was a former employee with Wake Forest Medical Center and member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church. Alan always loved farming and working with his computers. Surviving are his wife Sandra “ Sandy” Minor Matthews of the home; his daughter; Lisa K. Zimmerman & husband Travis of Florida, his parents; Carl E. Matthews Jr. & wife Carol Walser Matthews, his sister; Carla Brannon & husband Dugan of Lexington, his nephews; Matthew Dry & Jonathan Dry.
