Richard Darnell Nance

Richard Darnell Nance, 80, of Roaring River, passed away, Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.   The funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.   Mr. Nance was born July 8, 1937, in Randolph County to Branson and Bruce Nooe Nance. He graduated from Farmer High School in 1955 and retired from Brass Craft in Thomasville. We are grateful for the many years of happy memories shared with friends. His parents preceded him in death.   Surviving are his loving wife Loretta Nance of the home; son, Philip Nance (Shannon) of Lexington; grandsons, Derek Nance and fianceé Cara of Rhode Island and Andrew Nance and fianceé Connie of Lexington; great-grandson, Nico of Rhode Island; sisters, Nancy Staley (Leo) of Asheboro; special friends, Joey and Lisa Strickland and their sons, Trey and Lane and families.   Flowers are welcome and memorials may be made to Testimonial Baptist Church, P.O.
