Richard Glen Pearson, Jr. a resident of Lexington, North Carolina passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022. He was born on March 25, 1968 in Lakewood California to the late Richard Glen, Sr. and Angela Collins Pearson. He worked for Coast to Coast Transport as a truck driver. Richard was a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Gulf War as a Master at Arms on a Minesweeper.
Richard loved his wife fiercely. He lived for his family and he absolutely loved life. He was a fantastic father even to the children that were not his biologically. To him they were his no matter what and you could not tell him otherwise. It takes someone truly special to come into your life and accept you as an adult as his own and never question it. But what’s more, he was born to be a Poppa. His grandbabies were his life above all else. He lived his best life and he always strived to make someone smile. He had the kindest soul and always cracked a joke any chance he could and he never forgot his mother in law loved biscuits and gravy. He made every attempt to show his sisters he loved them and never went a day without reaching out to let them know how much they meant to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Paula VanWormer and Nora Welch. Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife Barbara and his most cherished dogs Duke and Carter; His children Autumn, Crystal, Joel and Trish; His grandchildren Blaine, Timothy, Clayton, Ava, Conner, Gage, Katie and Joe; His great granddaughter Ember; His mother in law Pat and his sister Dorothy(Rodney); His nieces Angie and Melissa; His great-nieces Larissa, LaRayna, Davina, Nova and Luna; As well as many special friends, Clayton(Teena) Koerner, Chuck Dingle, Jeff(Leesa) Sanford, Joe Newton, Stephanie and Mike Louie and Hannah McDaniel.
