Richard Ratcliff

Richard Ratcliff age 72, of Frontier Dr. Lexington passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Becks Lutheran Church where he was a member, with Rev. David Lowis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Ratcliff was born August 13, 1938 to Walter E. Ratcliff and Mabel Hewitt Ratcliff. He was a native of Chicago, Ill. He graduated from VA Commonwealth University in 1961, became a CPA and retired with the City of Lexington where he was city finance director. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn Gentle Ratcliff and daughter Terri Leigh Ratcliff. Surviving are son Shane Ratcliff of Lexington; granddaughters, Holly Denise Ratcliff; Shanea Leigh Ratcliff and Brooke Marie Ratcliff; brother, Walter Ratcliff, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
