Richard “Rick” Eugene Yountz Jr., 71, of Clemmons, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds, in Forsyth County.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree.
A graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Arcadia Village Church Cemetery.
Rick was born on June 15, 1954, to the late Richard Eugene Yountz and Frances Yountz.
He was known as a true “Jack of all Trades,” working both as a mechanic and in construction, always seeming to know how everything worked and able to fix anything that needed repair. He found joy in simple, meaningful moments—riding his tractor, watching racing, and sharing meals surrounded by family and friends. Above all, he loved his family with his whole heart, and his grandchildren were the light of his life, bringing him immeasurable pride and happiness.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mamie Evans Yountz.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tim Yountz (Kelly), of Clemmons; grandchildren, James Triplett, Madisyn Yountz, Kirstyn “Sally” Yountz, and Lucas Yountz; sisters, Mary Stevenson (Rick), of Hilton Head, and Jill Hearing (Jeff), of Troutman; and his precious fur baby, Rufus.
