Richard “Steve” Stevens Lopp, 86, of Lexington, passed away January 10, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 15, 2024, at Beck’s Reformed Church where he was a member, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Disher officiating. There will be no formal visitation. The family will be at the home on Joan Dr., if anyone would like to see them.
Mr. Lopp was born January 8, 1938, in Davidson County, to Stephenson Meade Lopp and Otelia Viola Leonard Lopp. Steve was a devoted member of the church and the church family. He was the owner and operator of Steve’s Sewing Machine Repair. He loved to go fishing, outdoors and smoking his pipe. His passion was his faith, church, family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard Lopp, Jerry Lopp, sisters, JoAnn Gathings, and Janice Moree.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Evelyn Leonard Lopp of the home, daughters, Debbie Parsons (Donnie), Jill Beck (Fiancé) Jimmy Revelle all of Lexington; grandchildren, Dustin Beck (Melissa), Matthew Parsons (Monica) and Erin Burkhart, great grandchildren, Devin Beck, Lydia Beck, Challon Burkhart, Brady Burkhart, and Ryah Parsons. Also surviving is his brother, Ronnie Lopp (Libby) of Lexington.
