Richard Gray Teeter

Richard Gray Teeter, 79, of E. Holly Grove Road, died Sunday, March 6,2016, at his home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Jersey Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Riggsby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Teeter was born March 4, 1937, in Rowan County, to Spencer Otto Teeter and Mildred Elizabeth Earnhardt Teeter. He was Operational Vice President at Carolane Propane until his retirement. Mr. Teeter served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge #576. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Teeter. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Carol Lynn Workman Teeter of the home; son, Brett Teeter and wife Ashley of Hampstead; daughters, Amy Everhart of Lexington and Beth Davis and husband Luke of Denton; grandchildren, Ryan Teeter, Zachary Teeter, Jack Teeter, Sara Everhart, Savannah Davis, and Madelyn Davis; and a brother, Ronald Teeter and wife Brenda of Monroe.
