Rick Lane Comer

Richard "Rick" Lane Comer, 65, of Lexington, NC, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at his home.   A Celebration of Life will occur Thursday, November 10th at 4:00 PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall - 4299 S Hwy 150 Lexington, presided by Rev. Danny Leonard.   The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 4:00 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.   Mr. Comer was born on Oct. 30, 1951, in Lexington, to Walter Richard Comer and Rebecca Anne Leonard Comer. Rick worked for the City of Lexington for 37 years with his last position held as Public Works Director. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Phyllis Tedder Comer, of the home; two sons, Nathan Comer and wife Sara of Lexington, and Allen Tedder of Lexington; daughter Erin Comer Chipman and husband Steven Chipman of High Point, NC; brother Lee Comer and wife Terri of Lexington; nephew Jason Comer and wife Jennifer of Lexington; niece Casey Comer Milstead and husband Billy of Lexington; and grandson Ethan Richard Comer.   Memorials may be directed to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Special Funds, 4299 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295.
