Ricky Britt 51 beloved husband and father of Rainwood Drive died Thursday afternoon in Thomasville Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born August 6, 1956 in Robeson County, NC. He was employed at Lowe’s Distribution Center and was of the Baptist faith. A funeral service we be held 3 PM Sunday May 18, in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree conducted by Rev. Jacqueline Tookey. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park, Lexington. Surviving are his wife Drema Ramsey Britt; a son John Thomas Britt; a daughter Stacy Byrd and husband Terry of Welcome; his mother Martha Britt Williams and stepfather Earl Quincy Williams of Lexington; brother Gene Britt of Lexington; sisters Debbie Presnell and fiancé John Causey of Thomasville and Tammy Fitzgerald and husband David of Linwood; two grandchildren; a step-brother Kenny Williams of Linwood; three step-sisters Cheryl Sholtz of Welcome, and Terri Curry and Christy Williams both of Lexington; his father in law Sherman Ramsey and brother in law Charles Ramsey and wife Geraldine of Lexington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Memorials in Ricky’s memory may be directed to Autism Society of North Carolina, 505 Oberlin Road Suite 230, Raleigh,NC 27605. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Saturday May 17, at Davidson Funeral Home- Hickory Tree Chapel.
