Ricky Darnell Jones Sr.

Ricky Darnell Jones Sr., 50, of East First Street Ext., died Monday, October 10, 2011, at Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the funeral home and other times at the home of his mother and stepfather, 183 Breckenridge Court. Mr. Jones was born March 26, 1961, in Davidson County to Fred Albert Jones and Alice Loman Jenkins. He was employed at Transit Damage and had also worked at Stanley Furniture for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammara “Tammie” Frady Jones, December 19, 1999. Surviving are his sons, Ricky Jones, Jr., and fiance’ Angelica Galoppa, of Clemmons and Chris Frady of Charlotte; a granddaughter, Julianna; his father and stepmother, Alice, of Greensboro; his mother and stepfather, Andy, of Lexington; brothers, Dale Jones and wife, Sharon, and Randy Jenkins and wife, Hilda, all of Lexington; niece, Hannah; and nephews, Zack and Grayson. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a trust fund that has been set up at Bank of North Carolina for the granddaughter, Julianna Jones.
