Ricky Lee Poland

Ricky Lee Poland, 58, of Cedar Creek Road, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his home. A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home with Chaplain Kolb officiating. Mr. Poland was born May 17, 1958, in Frostburg, MD to Glenn Poland and Nora Brown Poland. On October 30, 1987, he married his lovely wife, Theresa Lamp. He was a lead person for Cardinal Container with 29 years of service. Mr. Poland’s passion was fishing. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Howle. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Poland of the home; son, Timothy Adam Howle and wife Hannah of Winston-Salem; sisters, Vicky Schaeffer , Penny and Pat Knopp, all of Maryland; brother, John and Sharon Poland of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a thank you to Hospice of Davidson County; the Michael’s, Angela, Jacob, and Jessie; and Stan and Judy Schultz for all their help during this time.
